When preparing any diagram/charts to be used as instructional Materia.ls one have to consider with the following:
* Focus on the content that will be taught
* Keep drawing very simple in order not to confuse young learners.
* Prepare a separate drawing for each important information/concept.
* Use photographs or the real thing where many details are required.
* Use few colours and keep drawing natural.
* Whrite titles and labels clearly and to be seen at the back of the class.
* Ensure correct spellings.
* Put an even border around the diagram so that the drawing does not run into the edge of the paper.
* Lead the learners to reproduce the drawings on the chalkboard showings the features and how they are drawn.
